My Story & Call to Ministry
My journey in ministry began long before I ever stood behind a pulpit. I was raised in a family where faith, prayer, and the church were an important part of life. Through the influence of my grandmother and mother, I was introduced to a foundation of faith that would ultimately shape the direction of my life.
As a young man at Saint Paul Baptist Church of Little Rock, under the leadership of Pastor Jefferies, I became active in the life of the church through Sunday School, the youth choir, and participation in the Union District. During those formative years, I began to recognize that God was calling me to something greater.
That calling became clearer through my involvement in the Youth Ministers in Training (YMIT) ministry at Saint Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of Nathaniel Stewart. It was during that season that I preached my first sermon, “God’s Promise in the Wilderness.” That experience confirmed a call that continues to shape my life today.
Over the years, God has continued to develop me through preaching, teaching, serving, studying Scripture, and learning from those He has placed in my life. My journey is still unfolding, and my desire remains simple: to faithfully follow wherever God leads and use every opportunity He gives me to serve His people.

Associate Minister • Sunday School Teacher • Brotherhood Teacher
Serving as an Associate Minister with opportunities to preach, teach, and support the ministry of the church. In addition to preaching, I serve through Christian education as a Sunday School teacher and Brotherhood teacher, helping others grow in their understanding and application of Scripture.
Preaching & Teaching Ministry
For more than 17 years, I have had opportunities to proclaim and teach the Word of God in various ministry settings. My approach to ministry emphasizes biblical exposition, careful study of Scripture, practical application, and helping people understand how God’s Word speaks to everyday life.

Statement of Faith
The Scriptures
I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. Scripture is living and powerful and provides the foundation for what I believe, teach, and preach.
The Triune God
I believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, yet there is one God.
Jesus Christ
I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He came into the world for our salvation, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is Lord and Savior.
The Holy Spirit
I believe the Holy Spirit convicts, comforts, guides, empowers, and equips believers for Christian life and ministry. I believe the gifts of the Spirit remain active according to the will and purpose of God.
Salvation
I believe salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. All humanity is affected by sin and in need of salvation. A person must repent, confess Jesus Christ as Lord, and believe in His death and resurrection. Genuine faith produces a changed life and good works as evidence of salvation.
Sanctification
I believe sanctification is the continuing work of God in the life of the believer, through which we grow in holiness and become more like Christ through the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit.
The Church
I believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, teach Scripture, serve others, and demonstrate the love of Christ in the world.
Baptism & Communion
I believe water baptism by immersion follows a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ. I believe the Lord’s Supper is a sacred observance through which believers remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and proclaim His death until He comes again.
The Return of Christ & Eternity
I believe Jesus Christ will personally return, the dead will be raised, and all humanity will stand before God in final judgment. I believe in the eternal reality of heaven and hell and the everlasting hope believers have in Christ.
Ministry Philosophy
My philosophy of ministry is rooted in the conviction that the Word of God must remain at the center of everything the Church does. I believe preaching and teaching should faithfully explain Scripture, help people understand its meaning, and provide practical application for everyday life.
I believe ministry is not simply about building attendance, but about developing disciples. The Church should equip believers to grow in biblical understanding, discover and develop their spiritual gifts, serve others, and mature in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
I believe effective ministry requires both faithfulness to biblical truth and a willingness to reach people in a changing world. While I value the traditions that have strengthened the Church, I also believe ministry must be willing to grow, use technology, engage the community, and develop new approaches without compromising Scripture.
Above all, I believe ministry is service. Whether preaching, teaching, leading, or working behind the scenes, the purpose is not personal recognition but to glorify God, strengthen His Church, and help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.
Personal & Family
Beyond ministry, I am a devoted husband and father who deeply values faith and family. I believe that ministry begins with faithfully serving God in the responsibilities He has entrusted to us, including our homes and families.
My family remains an important part of my journey, providing encouragement, support, and a constant reminder that Christian leadership is demonstrated not only from the pulpit, but also through the way we live and serve every day.
